About: The in-person Mini College is designed for Champion Provider Fellows and local health department representatives. This all-day training will include skill booster workshops, presentations by Champion Provider Fellows, and networking opportunities. CME and CDE units will be provided.Local, state, and institutional COVID-19 guidelines will be followed as it relates to in-person gatherings.

Travel & Reimbursement:
- Current Fellows:
- Cohort 2023 Champion Provider Fellows will be reimbursed for travel expenses (airfare, mileage, parking, rideshare/taxi, public transportation). The Fellowship is covering one (1) night of lodging at the group rate for Cohort 2023. Individuals must live and/or work 50+ miles from the meeting venue in order to be eligible for overnight accommodations. Cohort 2023 will be reimbursed for all travel related expenses, except meals. Please refer to the Champion Provider Fellowship Travel Guidance for more information on travel reimbursements.
- Alumni Fellows:
- All other Champion Provider Fellow alumni will be required to cover costs associated with their attendance at the training.
- Local Health Departments:
- Local health departments should utilize their budgeted funding for travel-related expenses for the Champion Provider Fellowship workshop.
Parking: Self-parking with in and out privileges available for a daily fee. Outdoor parking lot. Cost: $10 USD (discounted rate for Champion Provider Fellowship). Click here for directions to the hotel parking.
Air: The San Diego Lindbergh International Airport (SAN) is approximately 2 miles from the venue.
*Complimentary Airport Shuttle Service*:
- For shuttle from SAN airport to hotel:
- Complimentary Airport Shuttle can be arraged by calling the hotel at 619.224.3621 after you have retrieved your luggage. The hotel operator will give you an ETA for pick up and further instructions to the shuttle pick up zone.
- For shuttle from hotel to SAN airport:
- NOTE: The first shuttle to the airport departs from the hotel lobby at 4:35am daily. If you would like to be on that first shuttle, then please be in the lobby prior to that time to ensure you do not miss it.
- If you want to leave the hotel later than the first run, then the shuttle operates on demand as needed for the rest of the day. You will need to be in the lobby and ask for the shuttle at the front desk, 20 minutes before you would like to leave. This gives the driver time to return back to the hotel if they are already on the road.
Train: The Santa Fe Depot AMTRAK station is approximately 4 miles from the venue. Please book as soon as possible to receive the lowest fares.
